2013 Excavation Begins at Çatalhöyük

After team members trickeled in of over the past week, the 2013 excavtion at Çatalhöyük began two days ago, as the site gets cleaned up and prepared for the new season.

The conservation team goes to work on Building 96 (foreground) and Building 80 gets a cleaning.

Cafe Çatalhöyük, out of service for now, awaits a new opening soon. So hopes a large team that will be in desperate need of ice cream, soda, and crisps (aka chips) to get them through the season.
