Most of these photos were taken while on assignment photographing archaeology excavations in Egypt and Turkey. While the needs of documentation focus more on recording information for research, these photos were taken on the periphery of work, recording observational moments that take a broader artistic view. Over time a blending of an archaeological & artistic eye has strongly influenced Jason’s approach, looking at sites beyond the archaeological with a much wider sense of time.
